Marilyn & Sean’s Etsy Inspired Newark Wedding

Can we just talk about a beautiful bride, a stylish groom, and a reception chock full of sweet handmade details?  Okay we will!  Marilyn and Sean officially tied the knot in December of last year, but decided to have their celebratory party a couple months later so that they could be surrounded by all of their friends and family.  And oh what a fiesta it was!  The dancing was nonstop, the speeches were hilarious, and the food was incredible…and the best part was that Marilyn and Sean made us feel more like guests than hired photographers.  Marilyn looked so classic in her gown from Lovely and her fuschia lipstick, while Sean looked devilishly handsome in his grey suit and yellow Ewok tie.  And let’s just talk about these amazing flea market and etsy finds that Marilyn dug up, from the cake topper to the tchotchkes on the guestbook table, from the typewriter to the fiesta flags, from the scrabble tiles to the button boutonnieres.  And the shoes, my heavens, the shoes!  Marilyn wore adorable Vivienne Westwood jellies that had all the girls swooning for our elementary school days, and the his and hers Chuck Taylors with their wedding date embroidered on the back were on display for all to admire.  Everywhere you looked there was a feast for the eyes, and the dessert table was no exception!  With gorgeous vegan cupcakes, Italian pastries, and a cannoli cream-filled cake, everyone’s taste buds were in sugar heaven.  The portraits were so much fun to shoot because we were able to move from the Newark Club to the law school next door, where they had a nine-story open hall that made for epic gorgeousness!  We had an amazing time celebrating with Mari and Sean and we hope you all love the pictures as much as we loved taking them!
